Texas Tech’s fall tennis schedule announced

LUBBOCK, TX (COMMUNICATED) – Men’s tennis head coach Daniel Whitehead announced the 2022 fall tennis schedule, highlighted by three International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments and an SEC-Big 12 challenge in November.

The Red Raiders hold four tournaments in September, starting with the Midland Universal Tennis (UTR) tournament from September 9-11. Following this, some players will participate in the West Texas Pro Tennis Open, which is an ITF 15K event.

A few days later, Tech will travel to San Antonio to compete in the UTSA Invitational starting September 23, then will compete in the Albuquerque 15K starting September 26.

The annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. are scheduled to begin Oct. 1 and run through Oct. 9, followed by ITA Texas Regionals hosted by Baylor in Waco, TX starting Oct. 13. The Raiders travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Legacy Bank NWA Tennis Series (Fayetteville 15K) starting the last day of October.

To wrap up the fall season, Tech will send qualified student-athletes to the ITA Fall Nationals on November 2, then conclude the fall roster with the SEC-Big 12 Challenge hosted by the University of ‘Alabama to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 4.
