Tennis scores 8-1 win over Roanoke College

The Wabash College tennis team scored an 8-1 victory on Tuesday as part of the team’s spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Wabash (4-4) swept all three suited doubles. Cole Borden and Liam Grenon won their number one flight in doubles by a score of 8-2. Alvaro Alonso-Sanchez and Jett Brownlee combined for an 8-3 victory at second number two. Christan Zimmerman and Elias Broker completed the sweep with an 8-6 win in the doubles third flight.
Borden won in straight sets at number one in singles by scores of 6-1, 6-0. Alonso-Sanchez picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number two in singles play. Grennon went undefeated in singles winning 6-4, 6-0 in the third steal in singles. Zimmerman added a 6-3, 6-0 victory at number four in singles play. Brownlee took the overall victory with a straight-set victory at number five in singles by scores of 7-6(4), 6-3.
Wabash continues his week in South Carolina with a game Wednesday against Ohio Northern University.
