Naomi Osaka started her week on a sad note and it ended even worse after the tennis star collapsed over a loss no one saw coming.
World number 2 Naomi Osaka suffered one of her worst defeats this season, falling to Jil Teichmann in a third round match at the ATP and WTA Masters in Cincinnati.
The 76th-ranked Swiss won the biggest surprise victory of her career, beating quadruple Grand Slam champion Osaka 3-6 6-3 6-3 in the last major US Open tune-up tournament.

Teichmann took just over two hours to defeat Osaka, beating the Japanese star three times in the final set to reach the quarter-finals.
Osaka committed 41 unforced errors in the match hitting only 17 winners while Teichmann struck 21 winners against 29 unforced errors.
It comes after defending Australian and US Open champion Osaka lost in the third round of the Tokyo Olympics.
It was his first event outside his home country since his withdrawal from Roland Garros after the first round, claiming that answering journalists’ questions after matches caused mental problems. She also skipped Wimbledon.
At his pre-tournament press conference earlier this week in Cincinnati, a series of questions from a reporter caused Osaka to burst into tears.
The 23-year-old, who had a first-round pass, struggled but won her opener, beating American Coco Gauff 4-6 6-3 6-4 but crashed into Teichmann as her week ended on a bad note. Remark.
Elsewhere, tennis fans were stunned when Ash Barty hammered Victoria Azarenka 6-0 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals.
