EUGENE, Ore. – The head coach Nils schyllander and the Oregon Men’s Tennis Team are announcing the 2022 schedule which begins Jan. 15 with a doubles program against Boise State and Seattle. Next month it’s mostly non-conference games, with a Pac-12 game on Jan. 22 in Washington.

Notes on the 2022 men’s tennis program

January 15: Home opener against Boise State and Seattle
March 5: Pac-12 home opener against Washington
March 13: home double against Portland and Montana State
April 20-23: Pac-12 Championships (Ojai, California)

Oregon begins the season with back-to-back home doubles, hosting Boise State and Seattle on Saturday, Jan.15, followed by UC Santa Barbara and Portland State on Monday, Jan.17. The Ducks’ first home conference game is on March 5, as host in Washington at 2 p.m.

In cooperation with local health authorities and safety protocols, fans will be permitted at OU home events, and for now, masks are mandatory indoors, unless they are actively eating or drinking.

Joshua Charlton and first year student Quinn Vandecasteele starts the year 17th in the ITA doubles rankings after a strong fall season, winning the Jack Kramer Invitational and qualifying for the ITA Super Regionals in Washington. They finished the 2021 season with a 10-3 record as a pair.

The Ducks also dismiss three players – Jesper Klöv-Nilsson (18), Charlton (13) and Vandecasteele (13) – who ended the 2021 season with double-digit singles wins.

Oregon finished the 2021 double-season with a 17-7 record and a second round appearance in the NCAA tournament.
